Schalke have last laugh in Dortmund draw

Okay, we’ve all done embarrassing things. Mine are mostly all alcohol related but that’s an issue for another time, Mum! But what happened to Borussia Dortmund overnight is something that is going to take a lot of Erdinger Kristalls to help recover. So the Black and Yellow, without a league win in five matches, found themselves in dreamland at half-time against rivals Schalke, but it all went down hill, very, very quickly.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored an assisted a Mario Gotze goal to help Dortmund go 4-0 up after 25 minutes. At half-time the club tweeted this:

And this…

But those tweets were about to bite them in the backside.

First half hero Aubayemang was sent off for receiving two yellow cards inside 15 minutes of each other, In that time Guido Burgstaller and Amine Harit had already halved the deficit and you know where this is going.

In the 86th minute Daniel Caligiuri made it 4-3 before cheeky Naldo equalised in stoppage time to level the game. Not only was it the biggest lead Dortmund had dropped in three years.. Schalke’s social media team had this retort:

Ouch.
