Velaphi joins inclusive club

Tando Velaphi has returned to the A-League after three years away signing with Wellington Phoenix until the end of the season. The 30-year-old made 100 appearances between 2007-2015 appearing for Brisbane Roar, Perth Glory, Melbourne Victory, and Melbourne City. If he takes to the field for the Nix he would’ve played for five different clubs, joining a very long list of players.

Liam Reddy
Liam Reddy is the second most capped goalkeeper, and seventh most in A-League history with 242 appearances. However he has split this between seven clubs, Newcastle Jets, Brisbane Roar, Wellington Phoenix, Sydney FC, Central Coast Mariners, Western Sydney Wanderers, and now Perth Glory. This comes to around an average of 34 matches per club.

Isaka Cernak
No offence to Isaka Cernak but he never really found a home in the A-League. Cernak spent six years in the A-League but only made 79 appearances, switching from Brisbane Roar to North Queensland Fury, to Melbourne Victory to Wellington Phoenix, to Perth Glory and finally the Central Coast Mariners where he last played in April 2015 before departing. This comes to an average of 13 matches per club.

Glen Moss, Nick Ward, Jeremy Brockie, Antony Golec, Scott Jamieson, Daniel Mullen, Justin Pasfield, Andrew Redmayne, Dario Vidosic, Danny Vukovic, Tando Velaphi have all featured for five clubs in their A-League career, however Velaphi and Justin Pasfield have only appeared for four.

Wellington Phoenix have hosted nine of these players, while Perth Glory, Sydney FC, and the Western Sydney Wanderers have hosted seven.
